No. The cabinet door activates a physical contact switch.

Can I use an AA or AAA battery?
No. This light uses a 23A 12V battery, also called 23AE 12V.
How long does the battery last?
The supplier estimates around 6 months when the cabinet is opened and closed about 8 times per day. Supplier testing also reports around 48 hours of continuous illumination. Actual battery life varies with use.
